I cancel my boot process to change the keyboard path, but I cannot change the path.
It send me an error:
Keyboard path cannot be modified.
I typed: PA Keyboard 0/6/2
(This is my USB card location)
(My keyboard is USB)
I cannot get my console on my video card propably caused by the keyboard path.
Is there a way to fix this?
Thank you.

Re: console problem
What model system is this? If this is an L-class or N-class system, I do not believe there is any way to change the console path to the USB keyboard device (the firmware does not support this).

Re: console problem
If you wish to change your keyboard path on all other machines the correct syntax would be:
conspath 0/6/2
Anybody else out there, someone with real experience?

Re: console problem
As far as I know, the firmware on the A500 does not support changing the console path or the keyboard path -- these are both set to the console port.
Have you installed a graphics adapter along with the USB card on this system? (Do they actually *work*?) The last I heard the only systems that this kit was supposed to work on were the L-class systems.

Re: console problem
I can get CDE working properly!
But, I CAN'T get the console on the screen. I must use teh serial port! (console port).
If the firmware doesn't support to change the keyboard path, does it mean that I will not be able to get the console on the video adapter?? (never?) No way???

SolutionI would like to know how it is that you came to have this configuration. This is not a supported configuration. Was this recommended to you by someone?
To answer your question, no. It is not possible to direct the console path to the graphics card. This is also not possible in the L-Class server which does support this configuration.
If you would prefer to contact me directly to discuss this further, please feel free to do so.
