Re: content of vg00.conf / vg01.conf /vg02.conf
fine. I will tell my actual problem.
HISTORY: In my m/c i came to know that vg01.conf was correpted(or removed vg01.conf and vg01.conf.old). Some how the disks which are using under group vg01 are also correpted so i am not able to use "vgcfgbackup" to get vg01.conf . Now i replaced the disks under vg01 with new one. Here one more thing is that , for the correpted disks i have a mirror images disks which are good.
So
Q1:Is there any possibility to get the same old configuration on to new disks? so that i will do merging with the mirror image disks. if it so please tell me the steps i have to follow?
Q2: I know that vg*.conf will be created by "vgcfgbackup" and will update after each LVM command? But here the Physical disks are also fail, So Can i Create it Manually, with what ever the information i want?
Q3: We can use "vgexport" and "vgimport" to get it, but I should have some other similar configuration m/c.
please answer question by question as A1,A2..

Re: content of vg00.conf / vg01.conf /vg02.conf
ioscan -fnuCdisk
vgdisplay -v /dev/vg01
It should be possible to add the replacement disks into the vg, then sync the mirrors from the good lvol copies, so long as the good copies still exist.
