Create a bootable recovery tape from a make_net_reocovery image??

Hi,

I used the make_net_recovery to backup to server but failed to restore the image when boot from lan.

will it be possible to generate a bootable ignite tape to recover the server from the make_net_recovery image??

Thanks,
Warren.

Can you poste the errors you received while booting from lan?
If it is a good news for you, you can extract for example only /stand from the ignite image and restore it after cold installing the system.
Is the archive sonehow not created as expected or the problem is just in booting from the ignite server?
Other options are most probably also possible, but wait to see what the others say....

Shalom,

Probably not. There is a reason why there is a command called make_tape_recovery

To produce proper bootable tapes.
