Re: Create a login promb in boot up from single-user.
Hi
I do not believe it is possible to set a login prompt at single user mode. The method of getting to single user mode through the PDC and the ISL opens up huge security risks just in itself.
If you find a way to achieve this and forget the root password you might have an even bigger problem
be lucky
John.

Re: Create a login promb in boot up from single-user.
Ken
full marks to Animesh it shows after years of thinking SAM to be rubbish I could of learned a very valuable feature.
However I have just tried it and unfortunatly as I have a NIS implementation I am unable to do this as the two features are not supported together.
It would be great if soemone can suggest a work around to accomodate NIS.
thanks for the points
John.
