dr-xr-xr-x 2 bin bin 1024 Oct 26 1998 rt/
dr-xr-xr-x 3 bin bin 1024 Mar 5 1997 ug/
hpqad /var/sam =>lssf disk_query
sdisk card instance 2 SCSI target 2 SCSI LUN 0 section 0 at address 8/16/5.2.0 d
isk_query
hpqad /var/sam =>lsdev 188

What does this do, why is it there? Just wondering. Thanks.
Rob

SolutionIts just a temporary device file setup by sam to access your disk array when you were using Sam to talk to it. Sam does this just to be safe, in case your normal device files in /dev are wrong. Nothing to worry about.
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...
