dhcp down - troubleshooting steps?

Hello, our dhcp just went down, and rebooting does not help. I checked all the configs, syslogs, disk space, everything I can think of, and everything seems OK, but I don't know that much about it. Can anyone suggest any troubleshooting steps? Thanks, Dean

Re: dhcp down - troubleshooting steps?

First some clarification: Is your box serving as a dhcpd/bootpd server or as a client and is not getting an IP address?
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: dhcp down - troubleshooting steps?

Hello, this is our dhcp/bootpd server. And I did find one page with some troubleshooting steps, including adding -d3 to the appropriate line in the inetd.conf. So I am attempting to forge ahead with that.

Re: dhcp down - troubleshooting steps?

Hello, this turned out to be a rather obvious networking issue unrelated to dhcp or hpux. Sorry for the trouble.
