Hello all,
I need to upgrade a sw on my hpux server that runs 11.11, I need to be clear on the amout of memory my server has, I see in SAM the Physical Memory but then the Real Memory.
The minimum amount of memory for installing the sw is 6 GB.
Physical Memory: 8197.3 MB
Real Memory:
Active: 378117.4 KB
Total: 490547.7 KB
Thanks

Solution
Real memory is simply the physical memory used by User space and does not include Free physical or Kernel/System memory. (Active is for user processes which have run relatively recently [are active], if you were wondering).
So you have 8Gb of physical memory.
So you have 8Gb of physical memory.
