Driver for HP DesignJet 350C Plotter

I would like to connect a HP DesignJet 350C Plotter to one of the HP machine (HP UX 10.2)
through the parallel port of the machine. But I couldn't locate the driver for
this when I tried to install the same through SAM. Where can I get the driver
for this plotter or which printer driver can I select from the available list.

thanks in advance

Re: Driver for HP DesignJet 350C Plotter

Hello Thomas,

You might have a problem getting that plotter connected to the system, and not from a driver standpoint. The DJ350C plotter uses a
bitronics ECP parallel port that might not 'dumb-down' enough to connect to the centronics-compatible parallel port on your system.

However, if you are sure that the plotter will work on a centronics-type parallel port, then configure the parallel port using the 'dumb' driver within SAM. The 'dumb' model file will provide the least system enhancement to data stream. After that you should be able to send the plot file to the plotters' devicefile:

cat plotfile > /dev/

Good Luck,
Curt
