Ehternet card speed and duplex question
It's plugged into a hub and is receiving 100 Half Duplex now.
SAM shows the card type as "Fast Ether". The speed of "100" and duplex of "Half" are greyed out in SAM such that they can't be changed.
Also, lanadmin's Desciption line shows the card as "Hewlett-Packard 10/100 Tx Half-Duplex TT=1500".
Is this a half duplex only card? I tried lanadmin -X 1 100FD and it errors complaining about wrong PPA, but lanadmin -x 1 produces the expected output.
How can I change the duplex of this card, if at all possible?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Ehternet card speed and duplex question
If you are plugged into a 100BT Switch, you might check ITS settings, and make sure it allows full-duplex connections. Most do by default, unless it is very old.
If you're really using a hub, try a full-duplex switch to see if this is causing the behavior you're seeing.

Re: Ehternet card speed and duplex question
You can use lanadmin -X 0 100FD as noted above.
Or /etc/rc.config.d/hpbtlanconf as also noted above.
If its not a hub and its really a switch, hardcode the switch to that speed.
Attaching an example of hpbtlanconf for reference.
