I am trying to add a 16RX DTC to a system.
I get the below error message
ja218_1:/ # rdtcadd ja218d01 164.39.210.60
DTC ja218d01 is going to be added in A1430000, do you want to proceed [y/n] ?y
Error: <270> : Unable to Add DTC.
Error: <123> : Unable to perform internal database function.
Error: <6202> : File open failure
I have checked /home/tftp/rdtcmgr and this has permissions which are OK. Checked the RX manual and 6202 does not appear. Does anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks
Paul

Re: Error adding a DTC.
I think that I've seen this in the past when trying to add a dtc that already existed (and had been partially deleted).
try an rdtclist -d to see if any trace of it's present on the system already.

Re: Error adding a DTC.
Hi.
There are no RXs present on the system
ja218_1:/ # rdtclist -d
Data base empty, no DTC managed yet
The DTC is on the system as a TN, but I have been able to add the RX with the TN config already on the system with many other servers.

Solution
Tommo
The problem is that SWINSTALL did NOT CREATE the log, status, and upload directories. rdtcadd needs to have home directory for tftp user in /home.
1. Recreate the tftp user.
It will create the user and it create the home directory
in /home/tftpdir.
2. Reinstall rdtcmanager.
If you check Osaka box you can see
:/home/tftp # ll
total 4172
drwxr-xr-x 2 root sys 96 Aug 2 1999 hpnp
drwxr-xr-x 6 root sys 96 Jan 14 01:18 rdtcmgr
