exec failed with ignite installation
Hi, I have a few w/s (15) to load and I have 2 problems:
Ignite verions is 4.4.30 and the w/s is a C3750.
1. I am trying to pull the image from my ignite server and it usually works. Now I am getting the ignite menu and after setting the keyboard and choosing Install HP-UX, I am getting into a Network recovery menu, which I do not want. I just waNT TO reinstall my w/s.
2. Here is the message :
Booting...
Network Station Address 00306e-481f40
System IP Address 160.223.147.250
Server IP Address 160.223.147.5
Boot IO Dependent Code (IODC) revision 2
HARD Booted.
ISL Revision A.00.43 Apr 12, 2000
ISL booting hpux (;0)/boot/INSTALL
Boot
: lan(10/0/12/0;0)/boot/WINSTALL
Exec failed
And it stops there.
Could you give me a hint to fix these 2 issues,
Thanks very much in advance

Re: exec failed with ignite installation
The problem is that the correct kernel (WINSTALL) was not put into the LIF area of the tape. check How-to document to put the make_net_recovery image to tape found at /opt/ignite/share/doc/makenetrec.txt.

Re: exec failed with ignite installation
Boot:
Interupt at the 10 second prompt.
boot lan.ip_address_of_ignite_server install
You must boot off the internal NIC card, not any add in or Gigabit cards.
The transfer can be on any NIC.
