HDD RPM
Hi,
Is there any way we can find out the Hard disk Drive RPM from the Operating System level ? O/S version is HP-UX 11.11.

Hi Raghu,
I do not think it is possible. I would also be glad to know if someone knows a way to find it out. Even STM /cstm it doesn't give this output.

Hi Raghu,
you can check the model of the hard disk using the diskinfo -v command then then login into the vendor site for the RPM information.

you can also check the /etc/disktab file for the closest match of the disk model.
