I need to locate the specific memory size in our K box server but we don't have stm loaded and can't reboot the system. There was a panic that seems to point to a specific DIMM. Is this a command to retrieve this?

Solution
hi,
If you don't have stm installed then it will be difficult to diagnose the error. Check with GlancePlus (gpm). Another option is reboot system and check the RAM modules from Boot console menu. You could also check the PIM information from there. If you have Offline diag (ODE) you can do that too.
For finding the memory details from command line:
# dmesg
# sam - performance monitors- system properties

Re: hp memory ananlysis
You can't reboot the server because it won't boot or because your users won't allow it?
If you can't reboot your server because it won't boot, then you could power the machine off, get a wrist grounding strip, some tools, open the box up, and physically examine the memory.
I'd suggest calling HP for a service call!

Re: hp memory ananlysis
I have tried many ways such as dmesg,print_manifest and SAM, but there is no information about specific DIMM. Just call HP local support center to solve this problem without stm because you should not open the box yourself!
