hp nfs client

Does HP make a nfs client for WinNT/Win2K? If not, can some one recommend a nfs client product or are they all generally the same?

Thanks.

Re: hp nfs client

HP does not have an NFS client for the PC, but they do have the CIFS software that lets you share out a file system on the HP-UX box and connect to it from NT as a regular NT share (CIFS Server).

There is also a CIFS Client package that lets you connect to NT shares from the HP-UX box.

This software is free, but is requires HP-UX 11.0 or 11i (11.11)

Here are the links to the HP CIFS software:

CIFS/9000 Client:

CIFS/9000 Server:http://www.software.hp.com/cgi-bin/swdepot_parser.cgi/cgi/displayProductInfo.pl?productNumber=B8725AA

If you require NFS software for the PC:

WRQ:

Hummingbird:
http://www.hummingbird.com/products/nc/nfs/index.html

Lab Tam:
http://www.lab-pro.com/

XLink:

I haven't played with any of the above products except WRQ's product, and that was 5 years ago. They should all do what you require though.

Good Luck.

Re: hp nfs client

Maybe you and use Samba to share data between unix and windows .
for hpux10.20 and below , you can download the Samba software from www.samba.org. For HPUx11.0 and above , hp provide CIFS Server/Clent (depot file) software to share data ( HPUX samba).
