Re: HP-UX 11v3 Advantages
Shalom,
This OS offers an opportunity to improve uptime over its predecessors. It has more kernel parameters that can be changed on the fly without requiring a system boot.
It is NFS version 4 capable which will finally let you use the advantages of NFS with the ability to encrypt the authentication and data stream and lock down the ports you must leave open to support it.

Pick your whitepaper from Dr. Google.

Re: HP-UX 11v3 Advantages
There where several HPUX V3 related sessions.
A simple search for V3 in the session catalogue returns:
1563 NFS Performance Comparison: 11i v3 vs.11i v2
1718 Calculating Lower Business costs and Risks with Quantified Benefits of HP-UX 11i v3
1721 HP-UX 11i v3 Update - Move Up for Highest Return on Mission-Critical Deployment
1893 Next Wave of HP-UX 11iv3 Mass Storage Features
1925 Best Practices for Moving to HP-UX 11i v3
I attended Dave Olkers (1563) session. Good honest geek fun!
I expect/hope the slides/powerpoint/pdf files for those to become available for attendees 'real soon now'.
If someone would alreay happen to have some of the slidessets (me) than I would hope they do NOT publish them here without permission as, best I know, it would violate the conference intentions. (I should check, but that was the case in the past).
Also, many (most) presentations were larger than 1MB. Too big too attach here.
Maybe someone (the presentors, or an attendee( is willing to Email you specific presentations?

Hein van den Heuvel
