HP-UX Patch Version.

It seems our current HP team that supports the account has suggested following

diagnostics level recommendations for our HP servers:

HP-UX 11.00 B.11.00.27.xx

What does this mean?

That would be the Support Tools Bundle. That last one for 11.0 can be found here:

You can order this from SUM.

I thought it would be referred by the year and month(like Mar'04). Does this refer to the online diag version? not sure.

That's right - from the swlist you will see the Month/year:

swlist |grep -i diag

Some good advice here. The full swlist of this latest / last 11.00 OnlineDiag bundle is

OnlineDiag B.11.00.27.18 HPUX 11.00 Support Tools Bundle, Mar 2004

So the "xx" is 18, and it was released March 2004. You should also get the latest patches for this, which are

PHSS_33917 (11.00 Support Tool Manager Mar 2004 Patch)
PHSS_28843 (11.00 EMS (A.03.20) & HA Monitors (A.03.20) patch
