icod cpu automatic activation

I would like to know if on a keystone server RP8400 an icod cpu may be automatically activated in case a working cpu fails. If this automatic activation is supported, does it require a partition restart ? is the customer charged for this activation ?

has anyone experienced this? if so how to configure the system in such a way when a cpu fails an icod cpu takes over.

Re: icod cpu automatic activation

As far as auto activation is considered you can put it in a scripts and activate a CPU when one fails.

(You need to have licese applied for this)

About activating in place CPU and all other details I am not aware of.

But there should not be a problem for auto activation if you have license in place.
