Ignite D370 using a tape from L or N class

Hello all, I have a simple question (I hope it is simple).
I have a D370 server. And I want to ignite the server using a tape from another server which is a N or L class.
Any suggestions on known problems,
do's and dont's ?


Any suggestion will be appreciated.

I do not think the chances of this working are good - the hardware is probably is not a good match.

That being said, you can try the interactive Ignite restore.

On the Basic screen, select additional, and on the next screen set clone to different hardware to true

Like DCE, I would have little faith in this actually working. The 2 machines are completely different architectures.

Your only chance may be the "clone to different hardware" option as DCE describes.
