Ignite-UX - Adding software bundles to the server

I have setup an Ignite-UX server. I can do a network client install, but it only has a few bundles installed.

This is what I've done on the server :-

# make_depots -r B.11.00 -s /dev/dsk/c1t2d0
# swlist -l depot
# Initializing...
# Target "igux1" has the following depot(s):
/SD_CDROM
/igniteux
/var/opt/ignite/depots/Rel_B.11.00/core


# make_config -r B.11.00
NOTE: make_config can sometimes take a long time to complete. Please be patient!

Started the ignite server :-

# /opt/ignite/bin/ignite

Then I configured the client in the GUI.

After installation the client had the following installed :-


# swlist -l bundle
# Initializing...

In the install.log for the client I have the following errors :-

WARNING: The software specification
"XSWGR1100,r=B.11.00.47.08,a=HP-UX_B.11.00_32/64,v=HP" refers
to a bundle (or to a product, subproduct or fileset within a
bundle). Only some of the software specified could be
selected. The messages below show those items which could not
be selected and those items which were selected but generated
a warning:
* Could not apply the software selection
"PHKL_20152,r=1.0,a=HP-UX_B.11.00_64,v=HP"; it is not
available from depot or root
"100.100.100.1:/var/opt/ignite/depots/Rel_B.11.00/core".

Is this a problem? Do I need to copy more bundles to the Ignite server? (NOTE : The client is 32bit)


My next issue is that I'm trying to add the DIAGNOSTICS bundle to the Ignite server. I'm not sure how to do this. I have put the Support Plus CD in the CDROM and have run :-

# make_depots -r B.11.00 -s /dev/dsk/c1t2d0
ERROR: swlist command for "/var/tmp/cddirAAAa15153" failed.
ERROR: The depot "igux1:/var/tmp/cddirAAAa15153" exists but is
currently empty.
ERROR: build_bundle_list failed


Please can you point me in the right direction.

Dave,
I believe the problem is that you are not specifying the full path to the depot. Diagnostics are located under the DIAGNOSTICS directory which must be specified. Diagnostic media normally has multiple versions on the media. This has been the problem with other swinstalls in the past.

So /SD_CDROM/DIAGNOSTICS/B.11.00 would be used in your command.

Hi David,

about your first problem: is on your system already PHKL_20152?
Maybe PHKL_20152 was removed from XSWGR1100 depot and now it cannot find it.

About your second problem: when you launch # make_depots -r B.11.00 -s /dev/dsk/c1t2d0
check that CDROM is mounted.

Both worked fine. Thanks for that.

With regards to the patching error I've checked the patches exist in the depot which they do. I've looked at what each one is and as you can see it doesn't appear I need them for a D370 :-
