Hi,
after installing Ignite and having a DDS tape connected with SCSI 3 (default setting) you are able to create a recovery tape for your system with:
make_recovery -A
After completion (app. 1h and on the running system) put the tape in a save place.
If your system disk crashes you can rebuild the system with this tape (without any other media) because the tape has a bootable layout.
Also ignite can make a network based recovery for clients. If you have enough space on your ignite machine you can use the "Add New Client for Recovery..." at the ignite GUI which is started simply with the command:
ignite
