Jetadmin + LaserJet 51000TN
We have a Laserjet 5100TN printer connected on the network. I am trying to configure this printer for hp-ux machine using Jetadmin software. When I add the printer from the machine, jetadmin utility gives a list of printer models in which this 5100 series is not available. So I selected Laserjet 5Si / 5N and i am able to print with that driver. But the problem is the printout comes always in landscape mode. How do I change it to Portroit?. For this do I need to install the proper driver for 5100. If yes from where i can get the driver?. In the HP site drivers are only available for Windows and Mac. Alternately where I can get the latest Jetadmin software for hp-ux 11.X. Kindly let me know
Many thanks in advance,
Karthik S S

Re: Jetadmin + LaserJet 51000TN
Look at
http://www.hp.com/pond/modelscripts/
for drivers and
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/networking/support_doc/bpj06765.html#P1_54
for software

Re: Jetadmin + LaserJet 51000TN
My second url covers the new software
If you load hppi then leave jetdirect on the box for your current printers or softlink /opt/hpnp to the /opt/hpnpl to allow the script filters to work

Re: Jetadmin + LaserJet 51000TN
Thanks for that. How do I install the model script so that I can add LJ5100. With Jetadmin there was a menu drivern utility to configure the network printers (/opt/hpnp/bin/jetadmin). For hppi any such similar utility is there?
Thanks

Re: Jetadmin + LaserJet 51000TN
You already have a script in
/etc/lp/interface/model.orig/printername
You can replace the content with the download script.
Same in hppi
or
Under /opt/hpnp/admin/PrinterList add your printer on a unique number and then make the config files you can find for the other numbers for this printer.
Best is leave Jetdirect and install hppi to install newer machines
