Does anyone know whether a new edition is in the pipeline which will bring it up to date? Most of the current book is still perfectly relevant (and excellent) but there are certain areas (esp Itanium boot, recovery and disk layout) which need updating.

Hello,

Number of updates and new training courses
are being prepared to include HP-UX 11.31
this year. In fact, I am teaching two
of them here in Australia in February:

HE775SB.01 HP-UX 11i v3 Features and Functions

HE776SB.01 HP-UX 11i v3 for Experienced HP-UX System Administrators

The demand from customers and internal initiatives are strongly pushing for more
HP-UX 11.31 courses and training.

Personally, I am confident that
HP-UX CSE Guide will be updated too.

Everything is being updated to HP-UX 11.31 though the exacat dates are not known.

I never took the exam, but its one of the best advanced systems administration books ever written for HP-UX.
