Kernel Parameter MSGMNI
What's the upper end recommendation for the msgmni kernel parameter with 512MB and 1024MB of memory in the server?
The help from withing SAM states that this parameter is memory limited.

Re: Kernel Parameter MSGMNI
I believe the high end is 50 on a ver 10.2 HPUX. And I think that is also the default value. If you set this value too low you will have the message queue fill up and then hit IPC errs.

Re: Kernel Parameter MSGMNI
Following are some current settings:
HP 10.20
msgmni 450 w/1024 MB
msgmni 200 w/512 MB
Both are around 90% utilized. I was wondering how high could set the parameters before the memory limitation became an issue.
