i have 2 stratus one stratus 429 and the other stratus 412
and i have hp ux version 11 on it and when i looked into the kernel parameter i saw that the formulas are diferent i wanna know why and if i can change them to what ever i want

You can change some kernel parameters, yes. To whatever you want????? That depends on what you want to change it too.

Hi Rudy,

It is not abnormal that the Kernel Values are different in both systems. The initial settings on the systems do depend on each systems/installation.

And you cannot change these values to what ever you want ! Each has it's own limitations and rules to follow.

For getting a better idea/information about each parameter, go to www.docs.hp.com and enter the kernel parameter string.
