Making backspace setting on system

Hi guys

Just curious, i know we can tyep "stty erase ^H" to make backspace functional on my system but it seems that I need to do it everytime I open an xterm window. Is there any other way I can make this change permanent?

Best regards
Henry

Re: Making backspace setting on system

Put the setting in /etc/profile or .profile

Then set cde to read the environment so the settings get set every time you open a terminal session.

Hi Henry,

Your profile will be used in xterm only if in .dtprofile in the home directory of that user comment from the last line has been removed.

Remove comment from this line.
