I have a L3000/HP-UX 11.11.
When I login as any user it gives a message:
Last login: 1 Oct 16:11
Applications using getspwuid must be linked with libsec.
Application being terminated.
# /etc/profile.d/1234.pwage exited abnormally
# with value 1
#########################################################
What could be the cause of the message? What needs to be checked?
Thanks,
Raje.

Re: message while login in
swlist -l file | grep "/etc/profile.d"
This should id the fileset which has this dir and then you can find the product/bundle. Then we can find out which company is responsible for it and look there.

SolutionMost notibly the COE stuff, and just below it directly referrences the /etc/profile.d/1234.pwage.
You could remove this software, but some vendors make no safe backout so be prepared for a full reload.
Regards,
Shannon
