We are in the process of upgrading our Cobol-UX to MF Server Express. I am having trouble trying to find out information on licensing, particularly on the runtime. Has anyone been involved in the purchasing of Server Express? If so, can you direct me towards information on the licensing policy? I am trying to determine how many runtime licenses we need to get a quote for.
Thanks...

Re: Micro Focus Server Express Licensing
We just did a system conversion from DG to HP; we purchased the hardware from our software vendor, and they handled all of the licensing issues for us for all the product add-ons (Glance, etc.) including MF COBOL. If applicable, contact your software vendor for what they recommend; or, contact your HP reseller from whom you got the equipment.
HTH, good luck

Re: Micro Focus Server Express Licensing
Here is the link to the license requests, I am assuming you can get more info also.
http://support.merant.com/websupport/supportnet/microfocus/license.asp#Server_Express
Also looking at the site, a compile time license is needed and also run time license is needed for each running at the same time program. Really strange license scheme.
