migrate one server to another using HP-UX 11.11

What should be the best practice for migration one server to another ??
Given two servers HP-UX 11.11 I kneed to interchange both of them. They are connected to the SAN ( Symetryx - EMC ).
the most critical part is how to migrate /usr, /opt, /etc, and so on.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi:

Use an Ignite backup for 'vg00' and 'vgexport'/'vgimport' your volume groups using the '-s' option for ease of discovery.

Shalom,

Ignite replication either based on a make_tape_recovery or make_net recovery is the supported way for replication of the hpux server to another host.

Seems like there is san boot configured here.

Doing a dd or vg export/import, will result in a duplicated system which can not be brought up without changes to such things as network configuration.

Ignite provides an interface for these necessary changes before the new system is booted.
