Migration of Oracle RAC from SLVM to ASM/ASM SLVM

Hi,

I have a possible requirement to migrate an existing RAC environment using SLVM as it storage option to ASM or ASM over SLVM.

I have had a look around but I can't find any documentation on how I would migrate the oracle dbf's from SLVM to ASM. Or even SLVM to ASM over SLVM.

I can current manage the dbf's using DP or dd within the SLVM layout, if I have no visibility from the os of ASM storage. Would it require RMAN to be used as the migration tool? If anyone can provide any additional information it would be much appreciated.

I would definately want to use RMAN for backup with ASM.
