multiple hats

seems to me that there's a conversation on what to do about that every time there's a post about someone recieving a crown past number one. i figured it's about time for it to have its own thread.

my suggestion to dan is to configure it to have an "xY" next to the crown where x is an x as in hte times symbol and Y is the number of crowns.
and maybe underneath the crown you can show other hats on the way up to the next crown?

Re: multiple hats

Josh,

With all the forum members obtaining hats, caps, and crowns these days it may be time for a "congrats" forum.

As for your comments on adding x crowns to the status, I say we move for something a bit more flashy.. after you receive your first crown, I say we put a flashing diamond on each tier of the crown, representing the number of crowns you've obtained, although this would only go so far as there isn't much enough room to put more than 4 or 5 diamonds.

I imagine those who have crowns aren't worried as much about points as they have already accumlated so many to begin with.

I'm waiting for the forums to take the next step and that is to offer an interactive "chat" room to the ITRC user base as I think that would provide the quickest resolution possible.

I do like the point scheme though as it gives the users a good idea as to how solid the answers are.

Re: multiple hats

I like that answer, putting up a crown with different jewels in it.

Start with saphires, then emeralds, then rubies, then diamonds.

Hi:

NO POINTS FOR THIS RESPONSE PLEASE!

However, I am compelled to add that if this offering of gratuitous points to gratuitous "chatting" persists, then points, hats, and the percentage of meaningless information will far exceed the value of any real information herein.
