need group membership for more than 20 groups

I have an application id that needs to be a member of 32 groups on the system. Is there is way to break the limit of 20 groups that an id can be a member of ?

Prepare to be disappointed; NGROUPS_MAX is a constant.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Thats a hard limit. No way to break it. See your HP rep and hope the next Os release allwos for more.

NGROUPS_MAX is hardcoded to 20 and that 'breaks' some applications at times, when users group membership exceeds that number.This is governed by the non-tuneable NGROUPS kernel parameter. HP is working on that.It may come in future release..
