Network Problem
Hi, I have L2000 server running HP-UX 11.00 and this server stop responding any network request. telnet, ssh, ping.
When I go in Network Switch, and do disable/enable in the port and the server returns to work.
I verify the speed in hpux and the switch, and is the same 100FD, and I tried do change this value to AUTO, but still failing.
I change the switch port, but the problem occurs.
Please, can anyone tell me about this situation?
I attaches the nttl log.
Thanks

Re: Network Problem
Make sure there is nobody around you who are assigning IP addresses to their machines on their own, causing duplicate IP addresses. In case your server's address gets claimed by someone, your server drops out of the network like a rock.
Make sure the name resolution is still working from your source of DNS resolution.
Other than that, to diagnose and isolate the problem, when the problem occurs, go to the server console and try pinging it's own IP address. Is it responding ?
