Parallel printer becomes disabled.

Running HP-UX 10.20 with Y2K patches. Default system line printer is an HP
1200 (parallel) which becomes periodically disabled by the system. Prior to
loading the Y2K patches, this was not a problem. Any suggestions to keeping
this printer enabled?

Stop and then restart the scheduler using the -v option. This will turn on
verbose logging. When the printer is again disabled, check /var/adm/lp/log for
clues.

Usually a printer is disabled by the spooler if it tries to communicate with it
and can't. Is it possible that the printer is running out of paper or getting a
jam or something and it isn't getting fixed before more people start sending
jobs to it?
