parmodify error

I need to remove the cell 0 of cabinet 1, but show the message:

# parmodify -p 3 -d 1/0
Error: Cannot delete/modify the last configured core cell.

The partition 3 is BIB:
cab1,cell0 Active Core 8/0/8 24.0/0.0 cab1,bay1,chassis3 yes yes 3

Re: parmodify error

The message exactly tells you why you cannot delete the cell - because its the core cell - connected to your core IO for the partition.
how many cells do you currently have allocated to this partition ?
vparstatus ?
The core cell cannot be deleted.
Also if this is the only cell then probably you wish to remove the partition - is that correct ? If yes then you need to use parremove to remove the partition.

Re: parmodify error

It is not possible to remove the core cell from partition so for doing that we have to delete the partition so I would suggest you to use pardelete command for freeing the cell.
