PCI MUX 8 port (A6748A)
I have installed a Pci mux 8 port card on hp rp3410 server. I would like to on one of of the serial ports a "Host Security Module" Thales RG7400. This HSM normaly uses a null modem cable with port settings 9600 *bit N and X0N=off. What pin configuration should I use since it has RJ45 (10 pin) fan out cable? Is there anything I have to add on the server?

Re: PCI MUX 8 port (A6748A)
Hi Felix,
The following doc has the pinouts of the 10pin RJ45 connector and some sample cable configs:
http://docs.hp.com/en/5966-8703/index.html
HP does make some DB25 to RJ45 convertors too - I believe this is documented in the same document.
regards,
Darren.

Re: PCI MUX 8 port (A6748A)
I have the two cables, modular modem cable and modular terminal cable. the modular modem cable is responding with error messages, while the terminal one it's not responding.
For your information, I have the same setup but using 8 port di-gi card in the similar rp3410 server.
Is there anything I should do on the OS level?
