Permission problem

I have a file in 11.0 HP box named hosts.ccl with a permission of 644 with owner as root and group as sys.

When I try to change the permission of file as root it gives error that I am not the owner.

Thanks

Root can do anything on the system
Sure that you are not as root!

Re: Permission problem

Sorry Champs.

That was a NFS mount from a NAS box. Gave root access and changed permissions.

Thanks again for the quick response
