Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
Trying to look for "dynamic memory leak kernel HP-UX 11" produced nothing. Reduced this at stages until only "kernel" remains, and the search still produces no results from the forums.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
I'm a new registered user, but I'm also a HP engineer ... What should I do to get my HP logo ?
Perhaps I also have something else wrong in my profile because procura's stats (great job !!!) are giving me a lot of 0 where I should get numbers.
Forums are a place where we can help, but I also learned a lot by reading posts and answers !
Regards,
Jean-Louis.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
My profile says I have given points to 160 of 163 replies, but for the life of me I can't find any thread where I haven't given points to everyone.
It would be a big help if there was a way to identify threads that have replies we haven't awarded points to.
Maybe just a link from the profile page like: Threads with pending points.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
This was weird. My second response actually got recorded in this posting before my first.... strange thing was it was around two minutes between when I submitted response 1 before response 2 ???

Yes, I see what you mean. That is strange indeed. I'll see what we can find.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
Sometimes, when replying to a question I get the following error:
404 Object Not Found
I think it happens since I upgraded (forced) to IE 5.5.
Best regards.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
For some unknown reason, I repeated my typical boolean search for +issues +october this morning (actually, I was using the back button on my browser to find something that I thought I'd done and that search just came up). Anyway, the really amazing part is: It Worked!! Number 1 on the list was this very thread. I suppose I should post this in the Success thread instead but this is where I whined about it so this is where I'll think you and the team.
I'm off to play with the search engine - wish me luck.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
Don't mean to "pile-on", but better search capability would be extreemly helpful and it would also help reduce duplicate postings. My favorite tech search engine is Google. I can type in an error message, click groups, and usually get good responses.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
Really slow there for a while this morning - timeouts, stalls, connection reset by peer, etc. Roughly 7:05 to 7:50AM EDT. I couldn't get in at all.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
Don't know if it's me
but using the search facility (yes I am clicking on the ITRC forums box)
I keep getting no results regardless of what I put in (inc my name) It's been like this the last couple of days.
Sorry if this has been reported already, I don't have time today to check thru the 90 odd other responses.
Cheers,
Pete.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
Other than a very few, momentary connections, I never did get back into the forums until 10:45AM EDT. Oddly enough, other folks seemed to be posting away in the forums and I was able to get most anywhere else I wanted to go.
Fingers Crossed,
Pete

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
Good morning! Observing a strange behaviour for the last couple of days - The sequence of replies to a thread changes automatically after some time. When I replied to a post, it came as the second reply, but when I checked the thread again after some time, my reply was at the last position (6th)!
Any idea?
Have a great weekend!

Not that /I/ care, but it might influence the points being assigned. I see much too often that the first good answer gets all the points

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
thee foooruuumms aarree sooo sloooowwww tooodaaayyy :-(
But at least not timeouts...
And I have seen that re-ordering some weeks ago already, maybe even months. I posted twice there and my two replies appeared reversed (was on one of the "empty" threads, which we seem to use for fun :-).

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
I've had troubles again at posting an answer at a thread of mine and giving points.
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0xf62106350fe2d61190050090279cd0f9,00.html
I've first posted my answer and then I've received a 'page not found' instead of the acknowledgement window. I've opened a new browser where I've tried to assign points and then I was redirected to the page that I should login first (I was already logged on).
I've tried to post the answer again, after I had refreshed the forums mupltiple times to make sure that I wasn't seeing anything of the cache. No answer was posted already.
After the second post, still no positive answer and all of the sudden my answer is there twice and the points have been assigned. I don't know where the cause is to be found.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
Like Shiju, I have also seen a couple of threads where replies have shuffled their order.
I just noticed a post with a rather interesting timestamp anomaly:
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0x20415c7609e9d61190050090279cd0f9,00.html
The author's post is timestamped October 28, 2002 14:18 PM GMT. The first response is timestamped October 28, 2002 14:17 PM GMT.
Now you can write this off to precognition or a bug. I won't say which I believe. :-))
Regards!

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
A couple of times today when hitting refresh I've been getting the following error
Invalid URL
The requested URL "/cm/FamilyHome/1,,117,00.html", is invalid.
If I hit refresh again, the page refreshes fine.
Regards,
Hilary
P.S. Can post replies OK now.

Re: Please Submit Your ITRC Forums Issues for October 2002
You seem to have some serious problems with time keeping. Here is another post with the first reply (mine) *before* the author posted.
