printing from HP-UX 11.11 to windows print queue

Hi All,

This question has been asked many times before and i did went thru many docs regarding this issue, but somehow could not make it to work. the job was always stuck in unix queue.


#lpstat -p|grep las
printer las now sending las-0 to 10.10.10.33. enabled since Mar 22 22:19
here is what i has done and hope someone could help.
the windows ip address:10.10.10.33
unix box: 10.10.4.19
both can communicate no problem.


from windows xp, install Services for Unix and started it
LPD service started successfully.
installed printer laser4000 on windows xp using LPR port pointed to LPD server 10.10.10.33
and gave it a name "laser"
restarted windows spooler so it also restarted the LPD.

from HP-UX
installed as remote printer:
printer name: las (did make it same as windows printer name "laser", but still did not work)

remote system name: 10.10.10.33 (windows xp) remote printer name: laser (windows xp printer's name)
check mark on BSD system.
and when printed from UNIX
this was what i got.
#lpstat -p|grep las
printer las now sending las-0 to 10.10.10.33. enabled since Mar 22 22:19

Please advice what else can i do?
