Real Time Clock Lags behind
We are having rx4640 Itanium with HP-UX 11.23
The real time system clock lags behind.
Is this a known issue, is there any solution available ?

Re: Real Time Clock Lags behind
Computers have notoriously poor clocks. The correct method for accurate time is that *all* computers (and network appliances, UPS's, etc) all run NTP to synchronize clocks to within 128 ms.

Re: Real Time Clock Lags behind
Shalom,
NTP is the only solution available.
If you are behind a firewall, your network admin will give you a time source.
If you have access to the net via port 123 then pick a time source from http://www.ntp.org
HP's Internet click is very good btw.
The family secret is out. HP server clocks can't keep good time.
