SAMBA on HP9000 machine

Hi!,

We have a HP9000 D-370 machine which has 2 CPUs. Presently it runs HPUX11.0. We would like to know whether we can install SAMBA on this machine for making it a Web server.

Rgds,

Smita S. Haldankar

Hi

You might want to try Apache rather than Samba to turn your machine into a Web server.

I run a D390 2way with both Apache and Samba and this gives my users a totally integrated Web and Network solution.

Re: SAMBA on HP9000 machine

SAMBA (or CIFS) is a file sharing tool, APACHE is the web server.
Both cost zero dollars to obtain and run.

SAMBA can be found on the new Applications CD's being sent out or at

Apache can be found at
