I am trying to install a patch using the SCM install software tool. After I select the server or servers and I enter the path to my patch. I receive an error stating that I am trying to select a tape device. Which isn't the case. The patch is located in /var/spool/patches/all_sys_11.x. The host is the CMS server. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...Jeff

Hi Jeff,
Check the source type button - is it "Network Direcory/CDROM"?
Try to list the patch from a swlist command line:
swlist -s:/
If it does not list, you'll need to register the depot.
If it lists OK - then try the swinstall from command line:
swinstall -s:/
If it still gives the problem, then I suspect the depot was packaged or setup incorrectly.
HTH,
Jeff
