SCSI cables

Hi Gurus,
Quick question - Can a C2363B 10m VHDTS68/HDTS68 M/M Multim SCSI Cable be replaced by a D3637C 2.5m SCSI 68pin UHD-68pin HD Cable? Length is not an issue.

This will connect an rp8400 SCSI card A5159 to an HP Optical Juke Box, Model C1107M

Thanks, Joan

Re: SCSI cables

hi joan,

The part number cable is from the netserver range of accesories originally.
It is also only a 90ohm cable as opposed to the 120ohm C236x cables.

However as you are only connecting the optical jukebox to this it should be fine. These are only standard se scssi and do not require the multi mode cables

Re: SCSI cables

Great, just what I needed to hear. You guys are quick! I will cut over from a D class to an rp8400 Friday. I feel much better knowing that I have the right cables.
