spmgr, bch and hw path
I have pa-risc superdome with several partitions. On one of partitions scsi disk failed. I decided to move system (hp-ux B.11.11) to disk on EVA. I have succsessfully presented LUN and mirrored hp-ux on SAN storage. Now I want to boot my partition from SAN. The promblem is to detect real hardware path of that LUN.
ioscan shows me these lines:
disk 25 255/255/1/0.3 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HSV110 (C)COMPAQ
/dev/dsk/c43t0d3 /dev/rdsk/c43t0d3
spmgr shows these:

BCH cannot detect boot image on SAN:

I tried to find HW path using mapper2 utility from offline diagnostics CD, but it cannot find my LUN too:

Re: spmgr, bch and hw path
You must find out the hardware path(s) of the underlying disk devices (preferably c37t0d4 or c41t0d4, but c35t0d4 and c39t0d4 should also work). The path will be a "sub-path" of the FC adapter, e.g. 0/0/14/0/0/...
The BCH can only detect the presence of FC adapters: it is not smart enough to actually scan the FC disks. But if you can tell it the HW path of the disk to boot from, it can boot from the FC disk.
Your boot command should be something like:
boot 0/0/4/0/0...
or
boot 0/0/14/0/0...
