squid proxy
Hi
i am planning to impliment squid iam attaching the sample squid .conf ,the same sqid .conf is using in redhat linux and the cpu utilization is 100% in peak .now iam planning to put this in hp ux box could you verify and tell me the issues in this file.
1.how to do load balancing
2. how to improve the efficiency

Santhosh,
Just a couple of tips before going to the hp-ux box.
-Make sure you download the version of squid that is known to work on hp-ux:
http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Networking/WWW/squid-2.5.STABLE10/
There is a utility documented on hp to configure squip with webmin
http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-4585/ch03s02.html
If the proxy was performing well in linux that is good, but once is migrated to hp the performance tunables are going to have to be made on the go.
