ie
WBEMServices A.01.05.10 WBEM Services CORE Product
WBEMServices A.02.00.07 WBEM Services CORE Product for hp 9000 servers
So, logically thinking I will just remove the older package then all will be well.
However, it tells me when I try to swremove it that i have to specify revision number....
How do i do this?

Re: swremove revision...
01.05.10 and 02.00.07
if you do a man on swremove there is an option for release:
swremove WBEMServices,r=01.05.10
should remove that revison - read man pages first though,
Good luck Annelise!

Re: swremove revision...
Its quite possible to pluck the revision out but sometimes there is conflict or corruption.
I would recommend swremoving them both and swinstalling the product you want.
That would more completely follow the guidelines for this product which does not revise and overwrite the old version. Seems it works like Ignite and Ignite will not work well unless you swremove the old version first.
