system panic crash on HP9000/800 HP-UX 11.00
recently it has occurred few system crashes (system panic) on new L2000 server.
There are no information in syslog or shutdownlog.
However, I have tried to analyse using q4 utility crash dump and it seems to me that it has something to do with VA7100 array.
I have attached output from q4 utility for commands:
1) "run Analyze AU > ana.out"
2) "run WhatHappened -HANG > what.out "
which can be useful in detecting the real problem.
I appreciate any help!
Thanks in advance.

Can you post that as a NON-zip file, preferably as a TEXT file?

CPU is a: unknown
You also say there is nothing in /etc/shutdownlog, are you sure?
If the answer is yes, i believe, looking at the dump, you have a faulty CPU causing this.
Get your local HP office to verify and fix for you.

Re: system panic crash on HP9000/800 HP-UX 11.00
In shutdownlog there is message "07:41 Wed Jul 24 2002. Reboot after panic: Data page fault".
Regarding line CPU unknown in
dcrash dump analysis file I don't know how to interpret, but all other information form crash dump does not support that the problem was of hardware type but of software type since it was "system panic" crash. The message coudl also only mean that this type of CPU which is rather new is not recognised by anaylsis software.
I have contacted HP support and regarding hardware status all should be OK and crach is due to software problem. What I'd like to find if there are already some patch for it.
