Re: Update to CDE
On 10.20 I believe both VUE and CDE were included, but in 11.0 CDE is the only option. There is no harm in installing CDE. It has been out a long time and is a very stable desktop environment.

Re: Update to CDE
11.x doesn't have vue any more.
I have updated quite a few 10.x
systems from VUE to CDE with no
problems. There is a tool called
VUE2CDE included with the upgrade.
It is usefull in migrating any users customizations. Good luck

Re: Update to CDE
Expect 100-150MB increase in /usr easy, /opt will increase only if you add CDE applications like the WT-Toolkit and Mpower Web. Var will also grow by 30-40MB.
Good luck and enjoy! CDE is soo much better than Vue was.
Regards,
Shannon

Re: Update to CDE
Just so you know, HP-UX 10.20 will fall out of service very soon. You may want to look at HP-UX 11 instead.
