UPDATE-UX From Depot
I need to do an update from 11.0 to 11.11. I've done 2 this month with minimum problems.
Instead of running the update from the 3 volume CD I'd like to install this from a depot so I can do it without mounting the CD's. Has anyone done this before? Any instructions available on how to do this. Not a cold install, I'll be doing an update running Update-UX.

Re: UPDATE-UX From Depot
Robert,
You may want to monitor this similarly veined thread:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=892510
That person wants to use update-ux to load an Ignite image, which I guess is what you would be looking at doing, too. I don't think it works that way.

Re: UPDATE-UX From Depot
You should be able to swcopy the three cd's or dvd to an Ignite Depot and do the update-ux installation via Ignite.
You will probably need to boot the target off of the Ignite server which must be done off the built in LAN card. After the initial boot, Ignite will let you use any NIC you want to transfer the image.
See Managing Software with Ignite UX.
