Using LDAP for DNS lookup

Hi ALL,

I want to configure my machine so that I wanted to enforce it to use ldap for dns lookup.

I have both Red hat directory services server and LDAP-UX integration client. I wanted to know what is the configuration I need to made on machine so that I can use ldap option in /etc/nsswitch.conf file. e.g host:ldap files

Do I need to create database for it. what is the procedure for it ?

Please help me.thanks in advance.

Re: Using LDAP for DNS lookup

Shalom,

Do you want to make a DNS server? LDAP doesn't really provide this service.
