WHere to download old release version?

My customer needs some old release version of some stuff like old version of Samba package and old version of BIND 9 package. Where can i download for example HP CIFS Server A.02.03.03 or older? I search in depot database but only the last version seems to be available.

Tnx,
John

I doubt you would be able to download most of the older versions. I recommend you contact your local HP Support Office and ask them

Shalom,

If you have a support contract for software, HP may provide you access to old releases of software if there is a good reason. You open a case and they grant ftp access.

They would have to be crazy to give you an old copy of BIND version 9 based on the faults that are known to be built in.

They will under the above circumstances probably provide you with an older version of Samba.

The user community will probably not provide you these because its probably a violation of their software contracts.

Re: WHere to download old release version?

Tnx for your answer but why HP manages this policy on software upgrade? I think it's customer fault to deploy vulnerable software and not vendor to provide old customer-needs packages.. for example it's easy to rollback a patch-set already installed but there is no easy way to revert to previus package release. Than my question is: why for some version of HP-UX there is a easy to manage patch and for other release the only thing to do is to complete upgrade without fast-rollback if some problem occurs? Looking at some other packages like Apache seems that all packages are available trough archive repository..also vulnerable ones..
i've some trouble understanding that..

Tnx,
John
